To celebrate 150 years of Perrier, the French mineral water giant is releasing a limited run of bottles, decorated with the art of Andy Warhol. It coincides with the 30th anniversary of Warhol’s series of illustrations and screen prints depicting the sparkling water brand in 1983.
Not nearly as famous as his Campbell Soup Cans, Warhol worked with Perrier to elevate the brand into the world of post-modern chic. The five bottles featuring Warhol’s artwork will include relevant quotes from the iconic artist such as “Everyone must have a fantasy,” or “People should fall in love with their eyes closed”.
Perrier is working in partnership with the Andy Warhol Foundation, which oversees all licensing of the artist’s work for commercial purposes.
As part of the launch, an original Warhol screen print entitled Space Fruit: Lemons (1978) is up for grabs in a sweepstake held by Perrier.
The limited edition bottles will be available to buy from Perrier stockists from June 24th.
