Know Hope: The Abstract And The Real

Published by on 30/08/13

Israeli artist Know Hope is currently making his solo debut exhibition, entitled The Abstract & The Very Real, at our friend’s gallery Lazarides Rathbone, in Central London.

The above video has been produced by Lazarides Gallery and Greatcoat Films, it sees Know Hope talking about the exhibition, his work and the issues he hopes to address with it.

Hope claims “I’m not trying to influence anybody or try to change the way they think, I’m just suggesting observations of mine”, and with the on-going social and political unrest in Israel, he studies fences, walls & boarders and the political & emotional implications that go with it. These objects are meant to trigger feelings of separation but is also an examination of the artificial divisions that shape the human condition as a whole, rather than looking specifically at his homeland.

The exhibition is on until Sunday, be sure not to miss it: Lazarides Rathbone, 11 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1HR
